Located in the Montesinho Natural Park, nestled in the mountains, bordering Spain, the landscapes, the simplicity and affection of the people, combined with a unique architecture are reasons to visit this village.

At any time of the year, it is possible to walk through the streets and alleys, to breathe fresh air, to hear and see the abundant birdlife and to exchange impressions with the residents who sympathetically interact and tell us typical stories of other times. In the peaceful night, it is possible to feel the silence and appreciate the intense brightness of the stars that seem to be suspended in the immensity of a clear sky.

It is located at an altitude of 1030m, making it one of the highest villages in Portugal and the highest in Serra de Montesinho.
