It is a straight beach with golden sands and awarded with blue flag. Windy and with strong waves, it is highly appreciated by surf lovers. It is located in a rural environment. Its dunes and the lagoon make it a place of natural interest. At its northern limit, Punta do Castro, are the remains of the pre-Roman castro of Lobadiz. It also has some remains of an 18th-century coastal artillery battery, which was part of a defensive complex. It has two accesses: Outeiro, in the northern area (area with ample parking) and Punta Penencia, to the south, a less crowded area.
