The Gualterian Festivities began as free fairs celebrated in honor of Saint Gualter, taking place in Guimarães since 1906, always on the first weekend of August.

Thousands of locals and visitors gather in the city where Portugal was born to participate in the various events that make up the Gualterianas, among which stand out, for their tradition and spectacularity, the Linen Parade, the Battle of the Flowers, and the Gualterian March.
