The visitor can enjoy, just a few minutes from the center of O Barco, a quiet, secluded place full of charm. The Maltese cross carved above the main door of the church of San Miguel (12th century) reminds us that it was administered by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. The south door and the semicircular apse, with a twin window, attest to its Romanesque origin. The Monastery is a sober construction from the 18th century, converted into a modern winery for the production of godello wines. Nearby, there is a restored house with a cellar-cave carved into the rock. Following the river upstream, we will reach a magical place: a rustic one-arch bridge at the foot of the ruins of a mill, amidst dense vegetation and to the sound of the waters of the Mariñán river.
