This park was formerly a defensive point converted for the enjoyment of citizens and tourists since 1999. It covers an area of more than 90,000 square meters where you can engage in all kinds of hobbies. You can fly a kite, lie on the grass, or watch the sunset. Additionally, it has a great tourist attraction which are the two Vickers pieces over 17 meters high that were acquired in 1929 and installed in 1933. But one of the main attractions of Monte de San Pedro is its evocative views. On one side, you will see the Atlantic Ocean and the coastline up to Arteixo and the Illas Sisargas belonging to Malpica de Bergantiños. And on the other side, in the foreground, the city and the Costa Ártabra with the Ría de A Coruña, where we will find Mera, Santa Cruz, and the coast of Oleiros, and in the background, the Ría de Betanzos, the Ría de Ares, the Ría de Ferrol, and the coast up to its Outer Port. You will need to look at the map to know how far your sight reaches!

Getting to Monte de San Pedro can be a more spectacular experience than you imagine. Besides the usual access on foot or by road, a spectacular Panoramic Elevator, in the form of a large glass ball, allows you to ascend and descend from the Paseo Marítimo to the top with privileged views of the Coruña bay. Once at the top, you will also find the only covered 360-degree viewpoint in all of Spain, the Atlantic Dome. At the top of the Monte, boasting its surroundings and views, is the Michelin-starred restaurant Árbore da Veira. A spectacular gastronomic space that also shares its more informal proposal, Taberna 5 Mares.
