The rondallas, stringed instrument bands that wear costumes similar to those of the tunos, are the protagonists of the day. The festival begins with an institutional act where the participating rondallas are presented with their respective godmothers. At the end, the rondallas walk through the streets praising the women of Ferrol, singing to them under their balconies, and finally gathering in the Amboaxe square, where they offer a show of waltzes and habaneras under a tent.
In recent years, the “bicos”, a heart-shaped sweet filled with orange and biscuit and covered in chocolate, have become typical of this festival, which innkeepers give to their customers on this day.
