Identified in 2003 by archaeological work carried out by the Archaeology Unit of the University of Minho as part of the renovation works of the railway station, this is a pre-Roman bathhouse used for ritual steam baths.
It consisted of an oven, a steam room and an intermediate room with benches. The preserved part of the monument has been turned into a museum and integrated into the current station building. Information about the function and use of the bathhouse is available on site, so it can be visited freely and during the opening hours of the station building.
