Afurada is a fishing village whose patron saint is Saint Peter.

The fishermen, a town of great devotion, pay due homage to the Saint, where in addition to the religious ceremonies, traditional roasted sardines with the typical Broa de Avintes and fireworks are also held.

This festival reaches its climax when the procession begins its departure, accompanied by life-size images of Saints, followed by the faithful who approach dressed in the clothes of ancient fishermen. Next, the blessing of the scaffolds in front of the Duero River takes place.
