The Avioso Park, a landscape project by architect Daniel Monteiro, built in 2001, is located on a plot of approximately 30 hectares, in which several spaces and buildings are articulated and encloses within it the source of the Ribeira de Avioso which, together with other water points, form the Ribeira do Arquinho, the largest tributary of the Leça River. Thus, this park, which is part of the Arquinho green corridor – one of the strategic corridors of the Municipal Ecological Structure, which runs longitudinally through the entire Municipality – is part of a network of Municipal Parks, each with specific characteristics, which together offer a wide range of recreational opportunities, information and environmental education.

Upon arriving at the Avioso Park – S. Pedro, visitors are invited to relax from the moment they leave their vehicle in the car park, which has capacity for 500 cars and 5 buses. Just a few metres from the entrance to the park, we are greeted by the Reception Building, discreetly inserted into the landscape. Next to it is a modern and original children’s playground that will delight the little ones. Behind the playground is a restaurant and café area with a terrace, open every day from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Whether on foot or on skates, you will find 4.5 km of paths here to relax. Via the cycle paths, you can also enjoy the park by bike.
