The municipality of Fafe, integrated into the Regional Tourism Entity of Porto and Northern Portugal, is located in the north of the country, in the district of Braga, between the banks of the Vizela and Ferro rivers. In terms of accessibility, the municipality has the IC5 which connects Guimarães with Fafe and the A7 which connects with Braga and Porto. The potential of the architectural, landscape, and natural heritage is utilized in the best possible way to attract visitors to the Municipality. The beautiful craftsmanship, the casas dos brasileiros, examples of which are the Teatro-Cine de Fafe or the Club fafense, the hiking routes, the marvelous waterfalls, and its various museums tell a story of the city and are the hallmark of a municipality rich in traditions and cultural diversity. The rallies that periodically take place in the Serras de Fafe, the excellent gastronomy, whose icon is the wood-fired roasted veal, and the impressive landscapes are also some of the many anchors of tourism in Fafe. It is also in Fafe where the Casa do Penedo is located, considered the strangest house in the world.
