“Transição” is a celebration of art as a living and ever-changing process, conceived by the artist Maramgoní. This exhibition offers visitors a dynamic experience that unfolds over several months, during which the artworks are gradually rearranged.
This continuous movement allows, through the different phases of Maramgoní’s career, a unique artistic and emotional journey. The exhibition presents some of Maramgoní’s earliest works, revealing his initial inspirations and the techniques he explored at the beginning of his career. As visitors progress, the visual narrative unfolds, showing the evolution of the artist’s style and his experiments with different media and themes.
Thirty-seven years of career, thirty-seven years of inspiration and many stories told.
Born in São Paulo, in 1972, Maramgoní showed an interest in drawing from an early age, demonstrating an innate ability with shapes and proportions.
He is one of the ambassadors of the Non Violence project in Brazil, created by Yoko Ono and the Swedish artist Klaus Friedrich, after the death of John Lennon. Marangoni contributed, through his art, to world peace.
In 2019 he moved to Portugal in search of new challenges, where his artistic career flourished with participation in several collective and individual exhibitions.
From June 21 to January 6, 2024 Maramgoní exhibits his work at the Armindo Teixeira Lopes Municipal Museum.
