The Viana do Castelo pilgrimages traditionally begin in the month of May, with this Festival in Vila Franca, which always takes place on the weekend of the second Sunday in May.

The highlight is the Flower Baskets parade, made with stems, leaves, buds and petals of natural flowers that the stewards carry on their heads, to be offered to Our Lady of the Rosary.
