The octopus is one of the best-known products of Galician gastronomy. This cephalopod is highly appreciated by both locals and visitors, so it is honoured by throwing a big party in which to taste it. Since 2014, Palmeira has met annually in its port for this gastronomic exaltation. It is the protagonist, but it does not come alone, it is enjoyed accompanied by other delicacies typical of Galician cuisine.
Palmeira welcomes with open arms Manuel Veloso, one of the most famous octopus sellers in Galicia, who is in charge of preparing it.
