The Teatro da Didascália International Contemporary Circus Festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary with 15 shows, eight of which will be national premieres, and seven cultural mediation activities, including workshops and moments of debate and exchange. During the five days of the festival’s programming, which “disturbs the public” and in which artists and audiences move between the cities of Barcelos, Braga, Guimarães and Vila Nova de Famalicão, the Vaudeville Rendez-Vous 2024 will be strongly marked by acrobatics.

The Vaudeville Rendez-Vous takes place in the four cities on July 16 and 20, with Guimarães taking center stage by hosting one of the most anticipated works of the festival’s “indoor” programming. “Le Repos Du Guerrier”, by Edoard Peurichard, is scheduled to have its national premiere at the Small Auditorium of the Vila Flor Cultural Center on July 17. Also noteworthy is the aerial acrobatics workshop, led by Daniel Seabra, and the shows that will take place in public spaces in the city such as Largo de Donães, Plataforma das Artes, Largo Cónego José Maria Gomes, Jardins do Paço dos Duques de Bragança and Largo de San Francisco.
