Around large copper cauldrons, thousands of diners wait eagerly to try this typical Galician product.
During the celebration, 25,000 to 30,000 kilos of octopus are prepared, along with other traditional dishes from the area such as Cea bread and empanada, accompanied by Ribeiro wine.
«La Festa do Pulpo» of O Carballiño is a massive gastronomic festival characteristic of Galicia, celebrated in honor of Galician-style octopus (“Polbo á feira”), a traditional and essential Galician dish.
