The Cocido Fair is the celebration of one of the unique dishes of Galician cuisine. It began its journey in 1968 with the aim of promoting and showcasing the region as a benchmark in the production of quality meats and excellent agricultural products. Over the years, it has become one of the main gastronomic festivals in Galicia, being declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest in 2020, the first gastronomic festival in Spain to achieve this recognition. The Fair features a wide program of events and activities that take place in the first quarter of the year, with the main day celebrated with a colorful parade of floats, brass bands, and troupes, and the reading of the proclamation by a well-known personality.
