The Cocido Fair is the exaltation of one of the singular dishes of Galician gastronomy. It began in 1968 with the aim of promoting and publicizing the region as a benchmark in the production of quality meats and excellent agricultural products.
Over the years, it has become one of the main gastronomic festivals in Galicia, being declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest in 2020, being the first gastronomic festival in Spain to achieve this recognition.
The Fair has an extensive program of events and activities that take place in the first quarter of the year and whose big day is celebrated with a colorful parade of floats, brass bands and troupes and the reading of the proclamation by a well-known character.
