The Santa Marta de Portuzelo Pilgrimage always takes place on the second weekend of August, with the date for 2025 being the 8th, 9th and 10th of August.

Thousands of pilgrims devoted to our patron saint, advocate for women in labor, come to Santa Marta every year.

The Pilgrimage begins on Friday with the stewardship’s visit to the city, this day ends with the monumental night procession. The highlight of Saturday is the ethnocultural procession and the day ends with the International Folklore Festival.

The pinnacle of the Pilgrimage takes place on Sunday, with the celebration of the Eucharist followed by the majestic procession in honor of Santa Marta, where pilgrims offer their promises.

In these days, you can feel the hospitable spirit of Marta de Betânia, our patron saint, in this parish!
