It was the old jail of the City Hall. Today, rehabilitated by the prestigious architect Manuel Gallego Jorreto, the Museum allows us to get closer to the culture, history, and customs of the Bergantiños lands. The Museum has several rooms on its ground floor dedicated to our region, and one focused on the Costa da Morte. Through them, you can learn more about our landscape, our agricultural tradition, bread, which is our star product, or about the history of Carballo. In the central courtyard, you will find several panels about the Carballo-A Coruña trolleybus line, the first road line to be electrified in Spain.
