Located in the XII century, with important reforms in the XVIII century, here was the Monastery of Santiago de Barbadelo. In the interior, the simple altarpiece is presided over by the carving of a baroque pilgrim Saint James.
It was declared a National Monument in 1976 and an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1980, and is one of the most admired churches on the Camino de Santiago.
The originality of its iconography stands out: lions, lions and snakes linked to medieval bestiaries, and complex human representations in porticoes, tympanums, capitals…
