This destination encompasses the municipalities of Antas de Ulla, Castroverde, O Corgo, Friol, Guntín, Monterroso, Outeiro de Rei, Palas de Rei, O Páramo, and Rábade. From a geographical point of view, we find ourselves in a territory dominated by the characteristic landscape of the Lugo plateau, crossed by the river courses of the Miño, Narla, Chamoso, Neira, and Tórdea, among others. In the eastern sector, the municipality of Castroverde announces the transition towards the eastern mountains with the Miradoiro and Bacariza mountains. To the west, the Galician Dorsal outlines the edges of the Careón and Cova da Serpe mountains. In the municipality of Antas de Ulla, in the parish of Nugallás, the geographic center of Galicia is located. In addition, the parish of Olveda is home to the source of the Ulla River.

Regarding the natural heritage, the territory is part of the Miño Lands Biosphere Reserve, which includes the characteristic river landscapes of the Miño islands in the surroundings of municipalities such as Rábade and Outeiro de Rei, and extends to the Careón Sierra, a natural space integrated into the list of geological sites of interest of the Spanish Geological and Mining Institute.

Among the cultural heritage, there are vestiges that allow us to reconstruct some of the most significant periods of history, such as the Roman Road XIX, fortresses like Castroverde, San Paio de Narla, and the Castle of Pambre; religious architecture such as the churches of Vilar de Donas, San Miguel de Esporiz, and San Cristovo de Novelúa, the Monastery of Ferreira de Pallares, the church of Friolfe, and civil heritage sites that bring us closer to the splendor of the Old Regime like the Ulloa palaces.

The Jacobean legacy is also present in the destination, crossed by three routes declared World Heritage: the Northern Way, in the municipality of Friol, the Primitive Way (municipalities of Guntín and Palas de Rei), and the French Way, in the municipalities of Monterroso and Palas de Rei.

Regarding the intangible heritage, due to its tourist relevance, it is worth mentioning the artisan tradition linked to pottery in Bonxe, Outeiro de Rei, and also the numerous fairs and festivals related to the agricultural and livestock tradition of the destination, such as the Santos Fair in Monterroso, the Cheese and Bread Fair in Friol, or the Ulloa Cheese Fair, which complement the tourist offer of a multi-destination province.
