The Uíma River Ecosystem extends along the Uíma River, in an area that combines several wetland systems, soil and human occupation, forming an extensive alluvial plain. Here you can observe spaces very rich in habitat diversity, housing a large number of plant and animal species.

Of unique beauty, the space invites you to contemplate the riverside ecosystems with protected status and observe the cycles of annual transformations, in a harmonious balance between natural conditions and humanized systems.

Along the approximately 9 km of trails that follow the Uíma River you can enjoy green and refreshing natural environments, where the diversity of the natural heritage is accompanied by small reservoirs, waterfalls and information on the riverside fauna and flora.

Admire the various parks that make up this river ecosystem, such as the Parque das Ribeiras do Uíma, in Fiães and Lobão, and the Parque das Termas, in Caldas de S. Jorge.
