The Estanislao Reverter Museum collects, preserves and exhibits the legacy of this outstanding rally driver, promoter of the Ourense Rally and one of the fathers of Galician motorsport, who died in 1991.
The Museum, organized on two floors, collects the sporting career of Estanislao “Lalao” Reverter, displaying part of the funds of the foundation that bears his name. The collection of trophies and other personal objects (magazines, books, etc.), miniature replicas of their cars, helmets and objects donated by different people who had a relationship with Estanislao stands out.
The upper floor is a tour of Lalao’s sporting life from his beginnings in 1955 to his last Rally in 1975: 54 absolute victories in events of different specialties (rally, circuit and mountain), 12 participations in the legendary Monte Carlo Rally, in where he competed as an official Rover driver in 1966; and two victories in the Rally of Spain – RACE, at that time the most important in national motorsport. In these rooms, through photos, trophies, plaques, regulations and route meters, wheels of his vehicles, the model restored by Marcial López of the Northwest Circuit and various material, the twenty years of his successful career as pilot.
The ground floor is dedicated to the other facets of Lalao: creator of the Ourense Rally and founder of Escudería Ourense, promoter of drivers with his Reverter Competition team and builder of the legendary Alpinche. It has a Goggomobil, trophies, a collection of miniature cars from vehicles that Estanislao raced, helmets from different periods, magazines, books, competition suits and various distinctions, among which the Silver Medal for Sports Merit stands out. the distinction of Constitutional Merit. It also has a space to house the mythical Alpinche once it is restored.
