Located in the suburbs of Betanzos, the construction of this garden began between 1893 and 1895, and was designed and financed by Juan García Naveira.

Of the 90,000 m² of the original garden, only a tenth has been preserved. The list of everything we can see in the section known as the caves speaks for itself of its miscellaneous reproduction in concrete, a new material at the time. In addition to the grottoes and subway passages, the Jubilation pond, the polychrome murals reproducing means of transportation such as the airplane, the funicular, maps of the Panama Canal, the pyramid of Cheops in the testimony of a tour of Egypt, the mural of monarchical Spain and its 18 republican daughters, the tribute to Argentina, the clocks of the world time zones, the mosque of Mohamed There, elements of mythology, exotic animals, etc., are striking.
