The Pincheira de Fervenza, also called Pincheira de Portomao, is a 25 meters high waterfall located very close to the village of Fervenza, and about 7 kilometers from the town of O Barco. After leaving the car in the area provided for this purpose, we will access the pincheira after walking 2.5 kilometers from the village of Fervenza to this enclave by a dirt track that runs between meadows and chestnut trees.

In the middle of the path, we will find the Miradoiro da Pincheira with impressive views of the Sil valley.

The pincheira, located in a natural environment of great beauty, can be seen at any time of the year as it always has water regardless of the season in which we are. The last few meters that bring us closer to it, show impressive views of the clay hill that leads to the waterfall. On this hill are the remains of an old smithy that was the germ of the population of Fervenza.

In the middle of the road from Fervenza to Pincheira de Portomao we will find a detour that indicates the distance to the village of Correxais. If we take the detour we will walk 3 kilometers along a mountain road until we reach the village in question and in the middle we will find a bench / lookout handmade by the residents of the village of Fervenza that will offer us dizzying views of the valley of the river Sil as it passes through O Barco and Vilamartín.

In the same village of Fervenza upstream from the Pincheira de Portomao, you can visit a flour mill that operated until the 1990s, which can be accessed from the village and from a path that connects it with the path to the Pincheira de Fervenza.
