The first half of the 18th century is favorable for Galicia. It is a period of economic prosperity in which ecclesiastical and noble institutions invest in architectural and artistic works. At this time, Celas was the most important parish in the current territory that comprises Culleredo, so it is not surprising that this rectory house is located here. The first record of its existence dates back to 1752, appearing in the cadastre of the Marqués de la Ensenada, in which its assets are described and detailed.
The property is the only one of the eight pazos protected by the heritage catalog that belongs to the City Council. Currently, it houses various public uses.
