From this privileged vantage point overlooks the entire Gulf of Ártabro, which stretches from Cape Santo Adrián to Cape Prior, a large area where you can find the Sisargas, San Pedro, A Marola and As Gabeiras islands, as well as the entrance to the estuaries of Burgo, Betanzos, Ares and Ferrol. Due to its location, this park that surrounds the Tower is an observatory from which we can see bird species such as the sea deer, seagulls, eagles and guillemots that have their children in the nearby canyons.
The numerous trails that run throughout the area, considered in the municipal plan as a Natural Area of Local Interest (ENIL), allow visitors to enjoy a natural contour with a native flora of undoubted ecological value.
This open-air museum is spread over the peninsula of the Tower, Punta Herminia, O Acoroado and Cabal de Pradeira, along 47 hectares, which coincide with the limits of the so-called “core zone”, the area of influence of the Tower, in the context of World Heritage. The sculptures are distributed in the green space surrounding the Tower, in a game of very suggestive perspectives and in permanent dialogue with the monument. The chosen artistic theme can be arranged along several paths, related to history, mythology and legends.
In this sculptural space pre-existing elements were integrated, among them the Monte dos Bicos, the Cemiterio Mouro and the beacons that help navigation.
