From this privileged vantage point, you can dominate the entire Gulf of Ártabro, which extends from Cape Santo Adrián to Cape Prior, a wide area where the Sisargas Islands, the San Pedro Islands, A Marola, and As Gabeiras are located, as well as the entrance to the estuaries of Burgo, Betanzos, Ares, and Ferrol. Due to its location, this park surrounding the Tower is an observatory from which we can often see bird species such as cormorants, seagulls, razorbills, and guillemots that nest on the nearby cliffs. The numerous paths that traverse the entire area, considered in the municipal plan as a Local Natural Interest Space (ENIL), allow visitors to enjoy a natural environment with native flora of undeniable ecological value. This open-air museum extends across the Tower peninsula, Punta Herminia, O Acoroado, and Cabal de Pradeira, covering 47 hectares, which coincide with the limits of the so-called “core zone,” the area of influence of the Tower, in the context of World Heritage. The sculptures are distributed in the green space surrounding the Tower, in a very suggestive play of perspectives and in permanent dialogue with the monument. The chosen artistic theme can be organized around several paths, related to history, mythology, and legends. In this sculptural space, pre-existing elements have been integrated, among which the Monte dos Bicos, the Cemiterio Mouro, and the beacons that aid navigation stand out.
