The Azenhas Trail is a linear route of low difficulty that runs for 7 kilometers along the right bank of the Tâmega River. It begins at the «Praia das Azenhas» and ends in the parish of Vila Caíz, near Passinhos.

The surroundings of the Praia das Azenhas have been restored and urbanized and the ruins of the Azenhas dos Morleiros have been preserved and rehabilitated, dignifying a space that is one of the most symbolic of the identity and imagination of the Amarante people.
