The Xunqueira de Alba is one of the most interesting natural areas in the municipality, declared in 2012 as a Natural Area of ​​Local Interest (ENIL), the first of its kind in Galicia. It is one of the best preserved marsh and wetland areas in the Rías Baixas. The protected area covers around 67 hectares with a wide variety of ecosystems, plant species and fauna, including birds. You can take a hiking route of just over 5km of low difficulty.
