If you are looking for a space to show and identify Barcelos and its history, the Pottery Museum is a must-see to understand how the territory is linked to pottery, crafts and the art of working with clay. In a current space suited to new challenges, there are 9000 pieces of pottery, mostly from the municipality of Barcelos but also from other regions of Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries. In a playful and educational way, you can access the ceramics area here, where the main purpose is to raise awareness among the younger public about the importance of protecting and preserving this socio-cultural heritage.
