XXXVIII Festival of celebration and tasting of tuna, which every year attracts tourists from all over the country. Saturday is the big day of the festival. The tasting begins at around 19.30 on the esplanade of the port, where thousands of portions of tuna, known in Burela as ‘Príncipe Azul’ (Blue Prince), are handed out. During this day it is possible to taste the tuna in various ways, while at the same time visiting the port’s museum ship to discover, first hand, the harsh life on board during the long fishing seasons.

The first Bonito Fair was held in 1983. Due to its popularity, it was declared a Festivity of Tourist Interest in Galicia and of National Tourist Interest.
