In 2014, the traditional Fafe-style roast beef, prepared in a wood-fired oven, set the tone for the first edition of this Gastronomic Festival that promotes the most typical dish of the region.

The ex-libris of Fafe gastronomy, roast beef has already deserved more editions of the Gastronomic Festival, with the visit of thousands of people seeking to try the divine flavour of traditional beef and enjoy several days of entertainment and leisure.

The Fafe-Style Roast Beef Festival is a project of the City Council that aims to give visibility to the Fafe dish at a national level, contributing to the promotion of the Fafe brand and to local economic development, especially in the field of catering.

Several restaurants in the municipality have joined the festival, being present and preparing their best beef in a wood-fired oven, accompanied by traditional green wine and regional sweets.
