The Pilgrimage of Senhor da Pedra takes place on the Sunday of the Holy Trinity and lasts 3 days, culminating with the procession on Tuesday.
In ancient times, pilgrims would set out early in the morning towards the Hermitage on foot, forming “rusgas”. The women would carry the so-called “condessa” on their heads, in which they would carry the food, and the men, in turn, would carry the wine in gourds or ox horns.
Today, the pilgrimage still maintains part of its tradition, attracting crowds of people to the festival.
Date: Sunday before the Corpus Christi celebrations (between May and June)
